Revell 1/72 Boeing P-26 Peashooter

Recommended Posts

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen of the jury,

I present before you the results of much toil over the past few months, as described in excruciating detail here:

The resin set by Starfighter decals was used along with other minor improvements I made. The major feature from my perspective is the paint job. I masked and painted the chevrons and cheatline as well as the tail and roll-bar yellow/blue details instead of using the supplied decals. The other thing was my first attempt at using lengths of photo etched metal for bracing.

I know there are many problematic areas for which I apologise. But I did learn a lot with this build. Hopefully the next one will have less errors.

Here are the pictures:

Thanks for looking and... have mercy on me :please:

I love how they actually called this thing a peashooter

Someone must have had a sense of humour I guess

Excellent Peashooter!

I wonder what a livery like that should be called… anti-camouflage? 😉

Slick modelling!

Thank you @Spitfire31 The colours scheme was the main reason I decided to build it 🙂

Great paint job and the bracing looks good too. I have not read the wip thread but it looks to me as any problems were duly overcome. It’s a lovely wee model and as a bonus it won’t take up all the shelf space either. Well done 👍

Top notch work  The Paint work was extremely well executed.  I find the rigging wire to be a little out of scale and too large for 1/72..... but your work is of the highest caliber!

The only material that may look more in scale but it is NOT flat wire is this:   Infini Super Fine   [it is also elastic and sticks in seconds with superglue. stretches nicely and doesnt break.

Please do NOT take this as a criticism of your work which is rather nice  WE are all limited by the supplies available to us.

Steve,
