54 years old to be exact. The kit was first released in 1967.

Lovely job mate,.... this is the best rendition of the old Airfix kit that I have ever seen!

Thanks to All who have written back¬†and liked, I really appreciate your kind comments. Thinking about doing another VC, namely the P-61. That one, along with B-17 ‚ÄėBit o Lace‚Äô also sticks in my mind from childhood, but I have only just finished a B-17 last year. Having said that, any recommendations on a more modern moulding of a P-61? Is the Hobbyboss kit any good?

I enjoyed building mine. It's a bit sparse on detail as you'd expect, and the cowl flaps aren't very well defined but it goes together really well. I added an etched cockpit set as the canopy is beautifully clear. If you'll permit, here's a shot of it (with aftermarket decals):
