Gloster Meteor T7 Royal Navy

Recommended Posts

Hello all

I finished this one off some time ago but thought I'd share some photos. It's the Miniwings 1/144 resin kit of the twin seat Meteor.

A really nice model that goes together pretty easily. The kit comes with decals for two overall silver machines but I really fancied this Fleet Air Arm example from the Yeovilton Station Flight in the 1960s.

Decals were from the spares box (although I'm still hunting for some underwing serials!). Paints were Tamiya for the black and Vallejo model air for the dayglo.

Comments much appreciated.

Hope you enjoy!

That looks super, such a great scheme. I have recently picked up the Special Hobby 1/72 boxing with this scheme in it, being 50% off in a sale helped of course. I've wanted to do one of these for ages, seeing yours has reinforced that. :)

I had that SH kit in the stash too...but sold it in the end so I'm glad i managed to get around to finally building this FAA machine in one scale at least. One of the most colourful of meatboxes seen.... and there's loads to choose from 😁
