VMA131Marine
Next up is the Revell 1/48 Lippisch P.13a coal-burning ramjet. This is actually a reissue of the Mauve kit. I believe a museum has a replica of this aircraft and the coal burner was successfully tested during the war. Still, I’m not sure how practical this aircraft would have been. I built an intake and exhaust ductwork and baffles to avoid a see-through effect through the empty interior of the model. The transport dolly is included with the kit. I have to say that the Revell decals were just awful; very matt, very brittle, and did not want to conform or stick to the model surface at all. Thankfully Revell’s decals have got a lot better since this kit was issued.
BillF67
I like quirky - and both of your build are certainly that! And well built too.
Red Dog
Also have a love of the quirky and weird. Nicely done and excellent paint job.
Bertie McBoatface
I don't believe it would have flown but the model is sky high quality.
