Hi All,

This will be my first proper attempt at a Biplane, the colour scheme really caught my eye.

It's got that mad lozenge pattern "camo" as well.  Here's the sprues:-

...and the decals.

The challenge for me will be the rigging, only things I've done with thread previously are washing line aerials. Also the lozenge pattern decals might be tricky.

Welcome from me too Dave.  I'm trying to work out what that critter is based on - something nasty, no doubt!

Good luck with your first biplane.

Hi All,

Most of the paintwork is done.

Yellow nose and white tail.

Green fuselage.

And multicoloured wings.

Onto the tricky bit.  I've drilled holes through the top and bottom wings, but doing all the rigging looks confusing - I think doing all the steps in the right order is key.

Hi All,

I've made a bit of progress.

I found the rigging to be really fiddly and frustrating, my eyes aren't good enough and my fingers are too fat for this kind of work. There's still more rigging to be done around the tail and wheels, but I'm leaving that till last as it so delicate and probably wouldn't survive my clumsiness long.

Hi All,

So this was looking good to be my first finished biplane - then I dropped my ipad on it, it just slipped out of my hand.  Those ipad's are pretty heavy and 1/48 biplanes are pretty fragile. This Pfalz is no more, it has ceased to be, it's expired and gone to meet it's maker 😒

I still want to do this kit, but it makes more sense to buy another one and start again.
