Dave_R
Hi All, This will be my first proper attempt at a Biplane, the colour scheme really caught my eye. It's got that mad lozenge pattern "camo" as well. Here's the sprues:- ...and the decals. The challenge for me will be the rigging, only things I've done with thread previously are washing line aerials. Also the lozenge pattern decals might be tricky. Dave. Toryu
Looks like a great model. As to the rigging, that's a handicap on my entry, too. I hope my trusted routine will work again.
Corsairfoxfouruncle
Welcome aboard Dave that is quite an interesting scheme.
CliffB
Welcome from me too Dave. I'm trying to work out what that critter is based on - something nasty, no doubt! Good luck with your first biplane.
Dave_R
Hi All, The interior bits are done. Dave.
CliffB
Looking good Dave. That upside-down yoke took me by surprise though - it's not something that I've seen before. Cheers
Toryu
Very nice work on the engine and seat - you're off to a great start, it seems.
Dave_R
Hi All, The fuselage, lower wing and tail are together... ... and primed. Dave.

Dave_R
Hi All, Most of the paintwork is done. Yellow nose and white tail. Green fuselage. And multicoloured wings. Onto the tricky bit. I've drilled holes through the top and bottom wings, but doing all the rigging looks confusing - I think doing all the steps in the right order is key. Dandie Dinmont
This is looking great Dave! As a rigging novice myself, I'm looking forward to seeing how you tackle the next step. Craig.
Toryu
Nice sequence of paint work. The lozenge looks great - even a decal must be positioned expertly!
Dave_R
Hi All, I've made a bit of progress. I found the rigging to be really fiddly and frustrating, my eyes aren't good enough and my fingers are too fat for this kind of work. There's still more rigging to be done around the tail and wheels, but I'm leaving that till last as it so delicate and probably wouldn't survive my clumsiness long. CliffB
For all its difficulties Dave, the rigging you've added so far looks really neat Cheers

pheonix
Only just seen this. For a first attempt at rigging you have done extremely well, despite the fat fingers. A very colourful scheme too - a first class model in production here. P
Dave_R
Hi All, Most of the decals are on - including the critter. So, now it's back to rigging - for the wheels and tail - sigh. Dave.
Dave_R
Hi All, So this was looking good to be my first finished biplane - then I dropped my ipad on it, it just slipped out of my hand. Those ipad's are pretty heavy and 1/48 biplanes are pretty fragile. This Pfalz is no more, it has ceased to be, it's expired and gone to meet it's maker 😒 I still want to do this kit, but it makes more sense to buy another one and start again. CliffB
That's terrible news Dave, but you do seem to taking it remarkably calmly! I hope you do get to remake it second time around. It was looking sooo good Cheers
