This is the result after applying a coat of Gravity Colors Light Surface Primer

Looks good kit and full engine is good improvement compared to Fujimi kit. Nice to see this progress.

The Fujimi kit was never intended to show the engine like this.

Looking very nice Rodolfo, can't wait to see it finished

Interested to see how this builds up.  I think I'd still give the nod to the Fujimi one - the shape of the front end and headlamps looks a bit better to my eye.

The rear glass shape is a bit off as well

Do you think I should do some weathering?

Working on the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" I'd tend to say no. But ultimately it's your model so you should do it how you want it to look.

+1.

It looks superb as it is, and personally I can never bring myself to weather my cars, preferring them in pre race or just been cleaned condition.

Maybe just weather the engine a bit?

I would go with "no" to the weathering only because the finish is so nice as it is, and race cars are harder to weather than rally cars - where you can almost just chuck mud on them. The subtleties of Le mans weathering is something else.

Very nice build @Rod The Fixer! I just bought this kit so looking up some other builds. How did you masked the red parts on the front? Used the decals to cut out a mask?

Hi Yasp, yes I masked the red parts with the Tamiya flexible masking tape using the decals as guide.
