jackroadkill
That's sad to hear. By coincidence I was listening to Gimme All Your Loving on the way to work this morning.
Stef N.
Sad news indeed. Always had a soft spot for the Top (along with everyone else I assume). RIP.
John Laidlaw
Very sad to hear of his passing, and it is the end of an era. A friend saw the Top two years ago, and said they were on form. He also said the were friendly hosts when he met them afterward. A sad loss. RIP, Dusty.

busnproplinerfan
Didn't think he was 72, but they have been around for some time. Love their music.

Dusty joined ZZ Top in 1970 - 51 years ago. I could be wrong but I think they held the record as the longest running band without a change of membership. Sorry to learn of his death. ZZ Top were unique. 5
Whofan
Very sad news, not just for his family but for all ZZ Top fans. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing ZZ Top a number of times, in small halls (eg Wolverhampton civic) doing warm up shows for festivals, to stadiums and arenas, and every show has been a pleasure. They have been one of the best live bands I’ve ever seen, wonderful musicianship with what seemed to me to be self deprecating humour accompanying the music. I will be pulling the Greatest hits DVD out later, and running through a selection of their albums over next few days.
Duncan B
They were on stage performing last week so it appears to have been quite sudden. From what I have read he went home feeling unwell so their Guitar tech was standing in for him at the next gig. Duncan B

alt-92
Aw maaaan... they were such a great act last time I got to see them. One thing's for sure though. That's a helluva gig Upstairs.
