binbrook87
Hi folks Latest off the bench today.... the 1/144 Platz A-4E repackaged by Eduard. Lovely little kit but sooo tiny! You don't realise how small the Scooter is until its parked up next to an F-14 or F-18. Built completely OOB but I had to scratch build the refuelling probe as it snapped off during assembly! Grr! (my fault) I went back to Vallejo paints for this one, and experimented with masking fluid for the camo. Not quite sure I'm that happy with it but it was lot easier than using tape or white tac at this scale. Might try something different next time? New scale.....new techniques me thinks! Anyway I hope you like! All the best. Edited July 28, 2021 by binbrook87

exdraken
Turned out great! Masking fluid produces hard, or too hard edges. But in this scale it looks fine! Congrats!

Congrats! Thanks very much 👍 Yes the camo is a bit hard for my liking ...so i may play around with white tac sausages or panzer putty next time. I find the latter easier to mould and shape....but it does have an annoying habit of 'creeping' over time! 😳
