HL-10
Kinetic's 1/48th scale Harrier Gr1. A lovely kit with the option of making a GR1 or GR3. No real dramas encountered during the build. A great selection of decals, though I used a set from Model Alliance to depict a GR1 of number 4 Squadron based in Germany in the early seventies. Painted with Mr Color acrylics. The pilot is a figure from Airwaves. Thanks for looking, Angelo 52

darthspud
Nice build and paint job. I don't recall that version , but i was @ Gutersloh from 1988. Think 3 & 4 Sqn had GR7 by then.

CT Modeller
That does look really good. The only thing is XV791 was finished in that very glossy camo during the red/white/blue roundels period (see photo) so maybe a coat of gloss varnish ?
binbrook87
That's really nice. Great modelling. Love the pointed nose early RAF Harriers. 👍👍

I was aware that she should have a gloss finish, but it's a personal thing, I don't like the look of a gloss finish on a small model, for me it doesn't look right. Bertie McBoatface
It's great. It brought back a lot of memories of the period. Thanks for that. I think I'll buy one of those for myself.

Yes the real aircraft does show this but I agree with you that too much gloss on a scale model doesn't always look right. I cant put my finger on it... scale effect I suppose. I think your Harrier looks great as it is 👍
exdraken
Great! For me the most uncommon of the Brits Harriers! Probably I am too young

I can always argue that my model shows it later on in service when the gloss finish has worn away, like RN Phantoms! 😃
