Recommended Posts

Finished the second model for my RAF training aircraft build.
Airfix 1/72 DeHavilland Canada DHC-1 Chipmunk T.10.
Built out of the box with a couple of mods done with plastic card and brass tubing (exhaust pipe, anti- spin strakes and blade aerial).
Painted with a mix of Tamiya, Gunze and Humbrol acrylics.

Nice. My profile pic is me standing beside that very machine when I was going through FSS a long time ago.

She’s in my logbook from FSS all those years ago as well :) Wish I’d taken a piccie too.

Nicely done Chris, very neat.  I do like the classic trainer scheme, but it’s very fiddly on a 1/72 scale chippie!  How did you do the FSS badge?  looks good.

Superb little Chipmunk. I have "a few" of these in the stash, one or two of which will end up as examples I flew in during my very happy four years as an Air Cadet. They were silver or LAG and dayglo then!
