MASSIMILIANO
Hi Guys, this is my latest kit. This kit was fantastic to build with a high level of accuracy in each section. The kit is offered in three different versions. After irreparably damaging the engine (very nice example of this detail)during the building, I opted for the version number 3. I used Revell paint, seat belts from Eduard. I also used oil paint trying to create smoke effect from the engine and coolant flow. The building was a bit challenging due to the size of the kit even in scale 1:48l.The Yank-3 was one of the smallest fighter during ww2 but one of the best for its manoeuvrability and speed. Any advice and comment are very much appreciated. Thank you.
Pete in a shed
Very nice indeed, I like your choice of scheme and the colours look spot on. The varnish you've used to seal everything in may be a bit glossy perhaps? Pete
MASSIMILIANO
Hi Pete, Thank you for your feedback. As varnish, I used Pledge applied by brush. However since I used oil I left the glossy varnish underneath worried that with an additional matt varnish on the top, I would make a big mess. I think that applying the warnish with airbrush the problem will not exsist.
