binbrook87
Hello all Another of Revell's 'micro' models finished today, the excellent 1/144 F-14A 'Jolly Rogers' boxing. Like most other Revell kits in this scale its pretty good quality / detail and goes together really well. I chose the earlier grey over white scheme from the 1970s and used Tamiya and Xtracrylix paints.... the latter I'm finding are really great for airbrushing once you've got the mixing right. Anyway hope you enjoy, thanks for looking. Edited July 15, 2021 by binbrook87
jean
Hi, this small model is really impressive. OK, you did a fantastic building and painting job, and in this scale this is an achievement. But these Revell kits haven't got much in common with the last 1/144 kit I built, years ago. Congrats are in order JR

kapam
Brilliant! There are times I have thought of 1/144 as a good direction to go. It would make some subjects more manageable (perhaps). Your build is very inspirational, for sure. 👍👍

I basically ran out of space and time to build most of my 1/72 stash so decided to sell them all off and change to 1/144. They build quicker and take up less room, and you can easily display a whole squadron of variants of the same aircraft. Sure the choice is a bit limited but it's getting better all the time especially if you look at some of the smaller manufacturers and shop around for the likes of Miniwing, Mark 1 and Platz etc. The F-14 and F-15 I've just completed are reasonable sizes. Others like the Spitfire, P-51 can be challenging but I like a challenge! 😄
Billy54
Like others have said this kit looks like it is in a larger scale. Very impressive build, I like it a lot.
Serkan Sen
Great finish of such tiny aircraft. Did you build this beauty under microscope? 🤔 Serkan
