2,500 gallon. Refuellers - AEC Matador and Mammoth Major Mk.3 - did they use the same tank?

I am about to start on scratchbuilding a Mammoth Major Mk.3 refueller and I noted that the refuelling tank of the  Matador 6x6 version looks to be identical. 

 

Can anyone please confirm if they are both the same size and shape tank?  

It would certainly be useful if they were as I already have a tank from the Matador.

Well they're certainly drawn the same.  Which does not mean that they were the same........

 

That being said, if the refuelling gear was still fit for purpose why change it.  There was less change for change's sake than today.  That equipment seems to have lasted for very many years on one chassis or another.
