Marlin
Hi. Not much has been done on my Rafale since the last updated. So far I've only painted the ejection seat, and it came out rather good I think. 045 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 046 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 047 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 048 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr To be continued..... /Bosse
Marlin
Bonjour I've finished the cockpit on my Rafale, and I think it came out rather well. I've used all my black variants and some dark greys. 049 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 050 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 051 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr To be continued..... /Bosse

Marlin
Thanks a lot Pat. I'll perhaps get some more work done on the Rafale during the weekend. /Bosse
exdraken
Very nice pit! I would revisit the ejection seat belts a bit, at least on the big screen it seems they could benefit by a very fine brush, probably also some accentuating of the buckles could help!
Marlin
Bonjour I've been neglecting my Rafale far too long, but now I'm going to try and get it finished before the deadline. Yesterday I glued the cockpit to the fuselage. 052 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr I got a small gap when gluing the insert to the topside. But it was quickly filled with a thin piece of plasticard. 053 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr To be continued..... /Bosse
Bertie McBoatface
Can you post smaller pictures please? These actually don't fit on my screen. When I zoom out the text shrinks out of sight but the pictures are still huge.

Marlin
Hi. I've started to glue the fuselage halves together on my Rafale. 054 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr I've only glued the front section together. It became a bit unstable when I cut the air intakes away, so I'll glue it in stages during the coming week. To be continued..... /Bosse
Marlin
Hi. I spent Saturday working with sanding sticks of various grit on my Rafale. 055 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr I had quite a few seams to go over, especially around the air intakes, and the underside of one wing. 056 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 057 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 058 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 059 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Yesterday, Sunday, I could continue gluing more bits in place. 060 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And repair the panel lines that I sanded away. 061 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr The plan no is to glue all bits and bobs around the nose section and finish the fin, and then it's time for primer. Marlin
Hi. I've only got some more small bits to fix. 062 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr But I think I can get this one primed this evening, and then start to paint her during the weekend. Marlin
Hi. Slowly but surely I'm continuing on my builds. Since I'm working on multiple kits at the same time, I don't have so much to show on each build. I had some trouble on where to put part 310. First I thought that Revell had missed it in the instructions, but after looking it over and going online to find a reference to it I finally saw that it was in the instructions. 063 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr First I thought that it was an antenna of some sort, but now I think it's a shell ejector opening for the cannon. And yesterday a put some primer on it. 064 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr I'll have to go over all seams and see if they're OK, but when that's done it's time for some paint. To be continued..... /Bosse
Marlin
Hi. I've been doing some more work on my Rafale M. I've painted the main colour. 065 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 066 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr I still have to paint the nose cone, and some antennas. I've primer the Hammers and the landing gears. 067 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr The drop tanks are painted and the MICA missiles are primed. 068 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Tre weeks left to work on this one before the extended deadline. So this week I'm concentrating on this build so I might finish it in time. Oh, and I almost forgot. This Saturday my wife excelled in the kitchen, some back of Cod, mashed potatoes, bacon sprinklings and sugar snaps. 20211030_173811 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr That was one tasty meal. Needless to say that I didn't go back to the worktable after such a meal. To be continued..... /Bosse
Marlin
Aaaaa.... I've just had a senior moment. I've painted my Rafale M in the French Air force colours, and not the Navy's. 065 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And the worst of it is that my "primer" Humbrol 140 is the correct colour. 064 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr So I'll be spending the coming days repainting everything. Must remember to check your references twice before you start. To be continued..... /Bosse 2
exdraken
Hmm I eas not aware of color differences between M and else.. ! Thanks!
Marlin
Thanks Werner, neither was I. But I've corrected my mistake now and painted it in the right shade of Grey. 070 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr I'll put some clear coat on it and then I guess I'm in for a few sessions with decals and stencils. To be continued..... /Bosse
exdraken
looks good! very nice comparison between M and B/C (in French , but this is 🇫🇷fancy anyways ...? https://omnirole-rafale.com/differences-entre-le-rafale-marine-et-air/
Marlin
Thanks Werner. And thanks for the link. Even though I don't read or speak French are the pictures good to have. And if I want to have something translated I can always ask my eldest son, he's fluent in Swedish, English, German, French, Spanish & Italian. /Bosse

Marlin
Hi. I've done some more work on my Rafale M. I've painted the Hammers. 071 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And I've also painted some sensor, and the exhaust to the APU. 072 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 073 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 20211113_155023 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr One week left on the extension, but I don't think this will be enough for me to get this one finished in time, and I don't feel like to make a rush job of it. exdraken
Looks good! Please do not rush it! But to me it looks probably mangable Decals, clear coat, stores... off you go!
Marlin
Thanks Werner Under a bit more normal situation a week would be sufficient to get this one done. But this week is a very busy week, so I guess I'll not be spending many hours at the work bench. And I'll not rush it just for that reason. /Bosse
