Did the plane carry an external bomb load (as did its sister ship)? Also, what types of machine guns did the SAAF use during the war? Thank you. Charlie Hugo Posted July 12, 2021 Share Posted July 12, 2021 Yes to external bombs , Ju-86 (like a number of other German bombers of that era) had vertical bomb cells and the SAAF used British bombs which were not capable of being carried that way Although I cannot make out with any certainty they look like Lewis machine guns 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
