Hey Everyone,

I had such a great time building this launch vehicle.  I'm glad you all tagged along with this long and interrupted build.  I want to thank everyone for the great comments and all the time you invested watching this thing grow.  I'm off to new projects now, and new builds are coming soon.

Thank All you guys for tagging along. Enjoy the photos, Rich

Wow!

It has been an education following this coming together. Great attention to detail and skill in execution of all the components. Great work indeed!

It's been a long and fascinating journey with this build Rich, but it was all worth it in the end. Brilliant work.  Now, how about something simple, such as a scratch built model of the Eiffel Tower??

An excellent build with such detail and you have nailed that horrid blue colour to a tee.

One tip for the future with the rust and weathering washes, the surface seems to have been slightly glossy at the time of application giving uneven coverage.

I find giving the model a light coat of matt spray varnish the day before really helps and adding a tiny drop of noninnic surfactant* to break the surface tension of the "wash" liquid really help it flow to all areas without it forming droplets.

(* I use a 00 bush to add a single brush load of cheap screen wash {for monitors and tv not cars} to my wash mix. )

Another stunner there Rich.  Always a pleasure to watch your build unfold.  The finial result looks the business.  It almost needs something for scale as it doesn’t really show quite the size of her.  Nice level of rust, mud and general grime too.

Looking forward to the next one

All the best
