You can never have enough Lancs and this is a lovely build of what is now a rather ancient kit.  And I can remember building one when they were first released and I couldn't imagine models could get any better.

Very true. I remember how excited everyone was. Almost as much hype as a certain Vulcan. Almost. 😄

Troffa - yours is a splendid job.

That has come up good. I actually like the look of these older kits rather than the recent one, seeing this makes me pleased with my purchase of one of these a couple of years back. 👍

Cracking work Troffa it's turned out superb, last time I tried this old kit (so called for the kids) I gave it a special place in the bin. The four engine heavies are quite difficult to paint, so you've got one on me.

Thanks to all for your very kind comments- as  has been said, it's still a nice kit- a bit better cockpit and turret detail would be appreciated, and may well be the case in the latest tooling- but it was an enjoyable build of a very important type.

All of your support is very much appreciated.

Cheers,

Troffa

Very nice result!

For me this Airfix 1980s tooling has the most realistic look of surface, all newer kits have for me overdone panel structure, not seen on a real thing...
