Popular Post Andy Dyck
One of my latest models from 2019/2020. was a lot of fun to build, because there is nothing complicated. The only thing I did that I riveted the model. weathering and painting in the most usual methods we mostly know. sometimes it’s good to pick a model from the stash that you want to build 20 years ago !!! have fun….. Pete in a shed
That's an absolute beauty Andy. It looks like you have weathered each and every panel individually. Great diorama and photo too. Pete

Yes indeed the weathering cost a lot of time , but at last it was a lot of fun and some more experience how far you can go, that it don’t look overdone. Greg Law
Great build. Your weathering is better than mine. It is still one of my favorite models in the cabinet. I like your diorama simple, but an excellent match to the background.

It’s a little bit more, yes I agree, but not all planes have the same kind of weathering. Some looked more factoryfresh, some very worn. So no one is wrong. It’s a kind of taste and a point where these planes are stationed. A Heinkel, or what ever in the Russian mud surely looks different to a factoryfresh plane that only had few missions. Electric Indigo
Congratulations on the build, and the first pic perfectly captures the mood of Roy Cross' Airfix illustrations IMO.
Toryu
Erstklassig Andy! No better live photography on this forum than yours. This wouldn't be possible if your models weren't first rate, too. I'm very much inspired. Gruß, Michael

Cheers Andy Yes, you are right about wearing over time. I believe my plane was relatively new when it was lost on the northern raid. It was one of the first He111-H4's. It is possible it was converted from an H3. I also did it's escort an Bf 110D and the Hurricane that could have shot it down. I like to theme my builds. I did it during the Battle of Britain group build along with a 1/48 Ju88 A1. This is a rear model in 1/48. I did a conversion from an old Revell Ju88 A-4 kit. However I think your weathering technique is very good. 1
