Homebee
After the F/A-18E (link), Meng is to release a 1/48th Boeing F/A-18F Super Hornet - ref. LS-013 Sources: https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=4175061422607150&id=195290177250981 http://www.moxingfans.com/new/news/2021/0707/9354.html https://www.luckymodel.com/scale.aspx?item_no=MG-LS-013 Quote A Different Super Hornet As the latest F/A-18 variants, the F/A-18E/F aircraft have greatly improved electronic equipment and extended combat radius. To perform the missions like air superiority and ground attack and complex tasks including reconnaissance and electronic warfare, the F/A-18F’s rear cockpit weapon systems operator has new advanced cockpit displays and control system. The pilot and the weapon systems operator can perform air-to-air and air-to-ground tasks at the same time. Before the next generation of carrier-based fighters enter service, the F/A-18F will still be the main combat aircraft of the U.S. aircraft carrier battle group. MENG releases this brand-new LS-013 Boeing F/A-18E Super Hornet model kit licensed by The Boeing Company. The finished model will be 377.9mm long and 273.4mm wide. This kit includes pre-cut stainless steel PE parts and pre-cut painting masks. Now let’s take a look at the details. Scale: 1/48 Release in: July 2021 1.The exterior features and details of the real aircraft are accurately reproduced. 2.Flaps and slats can be installed in retracted or deployed positions. 3.Horizontal stabilizers and rudders are movable. 4.The two-seat variant’s cockpit and cockpit interior equipment are precisely replicated. 5.The specially designed pluggable main pylons allow the easy change of weapons; this kit includes AGM-65 air-to-ground missiles and GBU-16 laser-guided bombs. 6.Two U.S. Navy pilot figures featuring realistic gestures and finely replicated suit and equipment are included. Two flight helmet options are provided. 7.This kit includes optional exterior parts. V.P. Edited June 13, 2022 by Homebee

Homebee
The four schemes. Source: https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=4197245187055440&id=195290177250981 The paint scheme A is for the aircraft of CAPT Fredrick Luchtman, commander Carrier Air Wing Seven. According to the custom of the U.S. Navy, the commander’s aircraft uses the high-visibility paint scheme of the VFA-103 “Jolly Rogers” Strike Fighter Squadron. The unit’s mascot is a set of skull and crossbones of the Ens Jack Ernie of VF-17. “Passing of the bones” from the outgoing skipper to the incoming skipper is a Jolly Rogers tradition. “Ens Jack Erine Bones” markings are also painted on this aircraft. The paint scheme B is for the aircraft of CAPT O.B Woods, commander Carrier Air Wing Nine, and weapon systems officer CAPT T.M. Downing, DCAG in 2006. This is a high-visibility paint scheme from the VFA-41 “Black Aces” Strike Fighter Squadron. The paint scheme C is a low-visibility scheme for an aircraft from the VFA-41 “Black Aces” Strike Fighter Squadron of Carrier Air Wing Nine. The crew members are pilot CDR Dell Bull and weapon systems officer CDR Greg Keithley. This squadron was created in 1950 and has won awards like the Wade McClusky Award. The paint scheme D is for an aircraft of the United States Navy Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor Program which is more popularly known as TOPGUN. The school was established in 1969 for the air combat training of the U.S. Navy pilots. Only outstanding pilots can be selected to be trained in the school and the instructors are experts in air combats. V.P. Stephen
Very uninspiring schemes, options #2 and #3 are actually for CVW-11 (NH) as CVW-9 is NG.

I found the decals on Fleabay, but there is no way I'm paying $60.00+ for decals for a $49.00 model. Maybe Fightertown Decals will reissue some of their Super Hornet sheets, or make some decals for more recent Super Hornets. Groove Toad
I was hoping to go to the MCAS Miramar air show this year to get Super Bug walk around pictures. Thanks to COVID19 it got cancelled.
Darwinism
I was hoping they’d have had a RAAF choice but sadly not. I’ll definitely still buy a kit when they eventually make their way down here and order markings from Ronin Decals.

Among them, the VFA-2 “Bounty Hunters” squadron has the longest history, which can be traced back to one of the earliest squadrons deployed on the U.S. Navy's first aircraft carrier, USS Langley. On Oct. 14, 1972, the VF-2 flying F-14A Tomcat was established in the Naval Air Station Miramar. In Oct. 2003, they started to receive the F/A-18F Super Hornet fighters and have been equipped with these aircraft since then. This MENG LS-016 1/48 Boeing F/A-18F Super Hornet Bounty Hunters model kit will be 378mm long and 273mm wide after assembly. This kit includes pre-cut stainless steel PE parts and painting masks, and three high-visibility and low-visibility paint schemes of the VFA-2 Bounty Hunters Squadron. It includes two U.S. Navy pilot figures. The specially designed pluggable main pylons allow the easy change of weapons; this kit includes AGM-65 anti-radiation missiles, GBU-12 and GBU-16 laser-guided bombs. Now, Let’s have a look at the details. LS-016 Boeing F/A-18F Super Hornet Bounty Hunters Scale: 1/48 Available in: July 2022 The VFA-2 Bounty Hunters is a squadron that not only has its own livery, but has achieved good results in various combat and support missions. Don’t you want a unique Super Hornet model from the squadron? V.P. Edited June 17, 2022 by Homebee
