Jackson Duvalier
Does anybody know offhand the diameter of the corrugated hoses used to deliver O2 to aircrew? I've a bundle of round-wound bronze guitar strings to replicate oxygen hose for cockpit detailing, but I'm not sure what the most accurate gauge would be in 1/72. Previously I've just eyeballed it to a "close enough" standard, but the bug of Excruciatingly Strict Accuracy has bitten. I'm specifically interested in British and US equipment, but if you know about other standards (e.g., German, Japanese, etc.) I'm sure it will help somebody. Jackson Duvalier
Thanks BS_w, that works out to a little over .017" in 1/72; I'll probably bump it up to .018 for better visibility. Cheers! 🙂
72modeler
Very interesting query- always wondered what size to make hoses in 1.72 scale. Here's a chart that might be of use. @BS_w Wish I had your references...and memory!
