Vichy...1/48 Marcel Bloch MB.152, French Armistice Airforce

Recommended Posts

#16/2021

For a kit with shortrun character the new Dora Wings Marcel Bloch isn´t so bad. But the decals are thin and the white areas are translucent, as you may see.
Camo done with Gunze RLM65 for the underside, Tamiya XF-10 Brown and selfmixed green and blue-grey for the upper camo. The Vichy stripes are painted.
First single-engined aircraft I know of that has a sideways angled engine.

You have done a fantastic job of this,..... the scheme is very eye catching and flawlessly applied.

Cheers

Great job and a very colourful scheme. I always wondered about all those stripes - don't they kind of advertise "aim here?" Still, I love the looks of it.

Cheers,

Bill

Great looking Bloch.:like: The red and yellow striping is perfectly done, no edges visible at all. how do you do that? I always seem to have a slight ridge even when hardly using any paint.

Absolutely Fantastic!  I have a great weakness for the Bloch.  Maybe its because as a kid I built this model in 1/72 (Heller).    I have 3 built ones now (and one in construction)...they also look great in the "Cowards Pajamas" - the Brit Pejorative term for the Vichy Stripes!

I was thinking the same thing. How did he get such scale-like results with those colors?  No edges or overspray. Amazing.

Wonderful finish on this model. Congrats to your dad.

The Embraer Tucano also has a thrust line offset to one side to reduce the effect of torque. It's not as noticeable as on the Bloch. Source: Air International, some issue from the early '80s.

Cheers,
Wlad
