jean
Hi Roberto, this is a very decent kit and you should have a lot of fun with it. Mine is kept warm in the stash, to be built as a French Navy Hellcat. Will be following your build. Enjoy. JR
Roberto
Some progress on this kit. Hope to keep the momentum, having finished my entry in the Bf-109 GB. Thanks for looking 🙂

shortCummins
good idea protecting the tail antenna, I've already managed to break off one of the machine guns on mine, I knew I would, at mines a 1:48, at 1:72 my fat fingers would be breaking stuff off left, right and centre! rgds John(shortCummins)
Roberto
John, I just know I'll break it anyway 😄 I did the same with the main antenna on my last Bf109, done for the current GB...I broke it while it was in the airflow from my airbrush, and went MIA in a split second, never to be found again...oh well... 2
rob Lyttle
Coming along nicely here. Should shape up nicely. There is a workaround you can try (another time) with these moulded-on guns, aerials etc. I sometimes use Ali foil for covering parts or whole airframes and protruding things are a disaster for the process. But the items can be cut out of the plastic edge before assembly, labelled and stored for putting back much later. There's usually a half round recess in the opposite surface that will line up with the cuts you made. I had a Beech Model 18 (Expeditor) that had no less than 5 moulded antennas on the fuselage half! They all came out for the metal process and went back into the holes at the end. 1
Roberto
Minor progress! Legs are mounted, many pieces cleaned with small sub assemblies done... Temperature here is more or less the one I will find in hell...but I hope to start painting it sooner than later 🙂

Roberto
@stevehnz 😄 Yes it did...Mates, what a summer has been... I put the decals on...Not a nice experience, I must say...Not happy with result, let's hope it will look a bit better when finished.
stevehnz
Hi Roberto, that is looking pretty good from where I'm sitting. I'm not sure what your hassles were with the decals but Academy do come with a reputation, not totally undeserved. I have had good results with them using this method, it may be worth trying sometime. Steve.
Alan P
Looking very nice now, despite the decals. 8 hours ago, stevehnz said: I have had good results with them using this method, it may be worth trying sometime. Steve. Yes, definitely try this! It's been a revelation for me which has taken all the tension out of decalling, top tip @stevehnz 1

Alan P
Looks amazing after the post-decals treatment. I like the dusty-looking finish. Great work 👍
