Seamus
Morning all, Enjoyed a fine day at Old Warden on Sunday for their military pageant, a decent line up overall and we were pretty lucky with the weather, somehow managing to dodge some pretty heavy showers that skirted the airfield throughtout the afternoon, but which made for some dramatic skies at times. The line up was pretty solid, but for me the stand out item by a country mile was the Sea King. I've always had a soft spot for the Junglies in particular, and was absolutely delighted to see it was this cab they chose display when it arrived at Old Warden. A long awaited reunion with the King! I'll update the thread with a more diverse set of images in due course, but for now here's a handful of the Junglie- more on my Flickr for those interested. Pete in Lincs
A fabulous set of pictures. Looks like it was a great day for sights and sounds. The Sea King skin looks well 'quilted'!
spruecutter96
A lovely set of images, my friend. Thanks for sharing with us. I had a flight in a 'King when I was about 16, at a "Joint Services Day". I remember looking out of the nearby cargo-door and we were flying near an American aircraft-carrier. It was a very impressive sight! We were advised not to wear any man-made items of clothing - I often wondered if that was a static-discharge issue or not having any clothing fusing to the skin in the event of a fire....? Out of interest, were there many traders at the show? Cheers. Chris.
Jb65rams
A great set of photos, better than the ones I took. Was nice to be at an air show again. Enjoyed the Sea King, amazing to think that are now privately operated ‘warbirds’! My personal favourite was the DH.88, first time I have seen that flying. 9 hours ago, spruecutter96 said: Out of interest, were there many traders at the show? A couple of stalls had kits on, the only proper model trader was Kit Krazy.

Good ole Kit Krazy..... with the pristine boxes and never-ending special offers. Cheers. Chris.
Natter
Stunning photos there Shaun. That's a heck of a drive to Old Warden and back. I thought it was far enough when I lived in Suffolk.
