Selwyn
Dear Eduard. I like to just to let you know that there has never ever, ever, been a bomb called a CPU-123 in service in an Air Force anywhere in the world. It doesn't Exist. The Bomb you depict is called a Paveway II (UK). Ladies and gents If you want a Paveway II(UK) for your RAF aircraft you can use these bombs, however you will need to fettle them, as you need to remove the two bands around the bomb body that are situated between the bomb lugs, as these are only a feature of the Enhanced Paveway II (UK), a different weapon. The bombs provided by eduard are examples of the later versions of the Paveway II (UK), (Mid 80's onwards). I can tell this because as currently depicted the Guidance doesn't have a CPU-123! (For your information a CPU-123 is the small computer section of the MAU 157 guidance on Paveway I weapons, and early versions of the MAU-169 guidance section of Paveway II.) exdraken
I am rather more concerned about detail and shape accuracy than a labelling error.... But didn't we discuss that earlier already?

Cheeky git .....a miltary aircraft is a bus or a taxi/personal flying club if it don't 'ave bombs and bullets......you must be an ex grubber (upside down variety)😄
Navy Bird
Maybe someone at Eduard had a keyboard malfunction - an input of GPU-12 was output as CPU-123. Just a thought... Cheers, Bill

Jackson Duvalier
Selwyn, I certainly hope you were typing that one-handed whilst pounding the table. That's how I'm choosing to envision it, anyways.
Navy Bird
Not just Eduard thinks there is something called CPU-123: https://air-graphics.uk/shop/ols/products/ac-064-cpu-123b-paveway-ii-lgb https://www.scalemates.com/kits/flightpath-fp-48-080f-raf-paveway-ii-cpu-123b-laser-guided-bomb-set--204949 https://www.scalemates.com/kits/pp-aeroparts-ac-411-raf-laser-guided-bombs--1328243 https://www.military-today.com/aircraft/panavia_tornado_ids.htm (shown as armament for Tornado) http://www.cmano-db.com/pdf/aircraft/66/ (shown as armament for Buccaneer) http://www.cmano-db.com/aircraft/1027/ (shown as armament for Harrier GR.5) http://www.cmano-db.com/weapon/955/ http://www.cmano-db.com/weapon/54/ etc. Curiouser and Curiouser. Is this one of those Internet errors that is accepted as fact and multiplies? 99% of search results go back to Eduard's bits, but not all. In the other cases, the bomb is usually referred to as CPU-123/B (1982) Paveway II but there also seems to be a variant (2002). The bits from the other aftermarket manufacturers shown above (Air Graphics, Flightpath, and PP Aeroparts) seem to predate Eduard's offerings so designating it this way doesn't look like it started with Eduard. I wonder what gives. Is very strange, no? Cheers, Bill

Another one I come across a lot even in professional circles is a bomb called just "Paveway II." Paveway II is a trademark not a bomb. This relates just to the Guidance section standard. We have all heard of GBU 10, GBU 12 and GBU 16 but they can all be Paveway II bombs if they all employ that guidance system. Earlier models of these bombs (c1970's ish ) were all Paveway I ! LaurieS
Do not fret go to Flightpath. Superb casting 7 PE. https://www.djparkins.com/home.php?cat=276 Used the Paveway 11 which came out well great detail. Laurie
Ex-FAAWAFU
Sorry; I am a mere wobblecopter pilot, so know little of these weapons. But the thought of an upside down Bombhead is deeply disturbing. I may sue.
