You won't go far wrong with a load of sparrows, sidewinders and a centre line tank. The USN tended to use the centre line tank more than the wing tanks because of stresses caused by the catapult launches of the carriers.

Typically for that period it would be what @iainpeden said, the Sidewinders would be the AIM-9G/H model and your Sparrows would be AIM-7Es, but they're identical to the -7Fs in most kits.
