STROP
@ Fulcrum@ : In my experience the KP kit is just a little easier to build than the Heller/Revell , but it needs more care to check/correct the fitting of the parts before glueing, . ( I cannot compare with the Airfix/Heller kit) . @David K. : The KP contains basic representations of the Stencel S-III ejection seats used on the German & Portuguese Alpha Jet A . Could be replaced by the Pavla resin S72042. The French and Belgian Alpha Jet E had Martin Baker Mk4 in the beginning ( as far as can verify ) and later Mk10 seats after upgrading. These are not in the KP kit, but there are good resin replacements by PJ Production and Pavla. And there are some differences on the top of the seats between the front and the back position.

About buildability of the KP demo model built by Mr. Muzikant himself said that it needed some fiddling to get good fit. I canät comment about any kit of the type but I have time to wait the hopefully one day coming Heller... MB Mk 10 is also used at least in BAe Hawk, so that might easy to fid the replacement seats. martinBK
Belgian aircrafts were always fitted with MK10.
David Koktavý
Thanks a lot for your explanation. Also MB.Mk 10 was used in Tornado, but I see on it as well as on the Bae Hawk the seats have at least different head. Or maybe, it is confusing only due to mounting the side plates for destroying the canopy glass. Or are there more subtypes of Mk.10 ? The fitting , details, and overall quality is really poor. I recommend that kit only for enthusiastic modellers which love Alphajet and are willing to spend a lot of time to rework, fit and improve the kit....well for those the Revell (Heller) kit could be better (?) I have some picture there in my thread:
