Eduard’s new line of 3D Printed instrument panels with Photo-Etch (PE) accessories is expanding rapidly, and they are ideal to use instead of either the kit parts or traditional PE.  Eduard's new SPACE sets arrive in a flat resealable package, with different branding and a white backing card protecting the contents and the instructions that are wrapped around.

 

 

Tempest Mk.V SPACE 3D Printed Cockpit Set (3DL48023 for Eduard)

The 3D Printed sheet contains a brand-new faceted instrument panel with glossy dial faces plus a number of small parts, details for the side consoles, and a new compass face.  The PE sheet has a set of four-point seatbelts; a trigger for the control column and new rudder pedals.

 

 

 

 

Bf.109G-2 SPACE 3D Printed Cockpit Set (3DL48022 for Eduard)

The 3D Printed sheet contains a brand-new multi-layered instrument panel with glossy dial faces plus a number additional panels with PE supports, details for the side walls and floor instruments, and other small parts.  The PE set has a set of four-point seatbelts; rudder pedals; trim-wheel details; sidewall parts; canopy interior and opener stay, plus a small aerial with base for under the fuselage.

 

 

 

 

Mi-24V SPACE 3D Printed Cockpit Set (3DL48091 for Zvezda)

The large 3D Printed sheet contains a brand-new multi-part instrument panel with glossy dial faces for both crew, plus a choice of screens that are inset into the panel, details for the large side consoles and panels, and quilted insulation panels for inside the canopy and elsewhere.  The PE sheet has a set of four-point seatbelts and back cushions for the two crew; anti-torque pedals; cages around important instrument panels; replacement HUD for which you’ll need to source a piece of clear acetate to cut to the shape of the template, and windscreen wipers for both crew.

 

 

 

 

Conclusion

3D Printed panels are very impressive, and Eduard’s multi-media approach really lends itself to these WWII birds especially, so the resulting panels are believable, simple to apply and realistic when finished, backed up by the PE extras that give you a little more depth around the rest of the cockpit.
