Thanks very much, Mark.

Too kind.

Not at all! :)

To be honest, when I was looking for paints for my Less Than A Tenner F4F, I did look at Sovereign, but decided in favour of acrylics. However, I'm thinking it might be a good opportunity to try them out as it's a simple scheme :) and if they're low odour that's a huge bonus.

Thanks for the encouragement, Alistair, I'm definitely going to order some for the Wildcat, plus the RAF colours look perfect.

Cheers,

Mark

The colour matching is superb and I hope you like them. I think that once you've tried them you won't look back.

Before I go all Victor Meldrew on myself can anyone spot the error?

No choice for it but to strip it back and start again.

Feeling like a complete idiot at the moment for not spotting this until now.

Thanks for looking,

Cheers,

Alistair

It's easily done Alistair, so don't beat yourself up over it fella. Looks great with the top colors on too, at least it wasn't the yellow side!!!

Chris

Thanks Chris,

Not beating myself up just can't believe it took me so long to see it.

It's both sides of the starboard wing I've shifted the stripes one stripe over.

It's sitting in an ammonia based cleaner just now which will help loosen the paint without damaging the plastic and I'll get going with it soon.

Alistair

And it's done or as near as I'm going to get.

I'll let that dry off properly and then get back to it.

And yes I've just gone back to check I stripped the right one.

Thanks for looking,

Awwww, what an absolute rodent's posterior! Still, you're putting it right, and in advance of assembly - I know exactly at what stage I'd have noticed.....

Cheers,

Mark

Stuff happens if I hadn't had them side by side when I was finishing off the paint touch ups I probably wouldn't have noticed until I was sticking the transfers on.

Still, just spraying the white primer coat on now so tomorrow I can push on with it.

Alistair

Are you sure you didn’t subconsciously do it deliberately to prolong this highly enjoyable build?

Craig.

I think Alistair has been busted! :D

Rats and here I was thinking I was being so subtle and clever. ;).

The black stripes are done. Just waiting for that to cook off a bit then I'll mask up for the yellow.

Alistair

You even got the black and the white in the right order, good job! ;)

The way that wing has been going I wouldn't have put it past me to get it wrong again.

Clear coat this morning and just now Transfers applied. Thankfully not too many of them.

They've been hit with softener to help bed them into the fabric surface.

I'll let those settle overnight and after a final clear coat I can start assembling all the bits.

Looking good Alistair with the stripes and decals on.  The Fabric effect looks good too.

Great work

Chris

Thanks Chris,

It's still a nice moulding despite it's age.

Flat coat applied and canopy unmasked.

I was expecting to see some lift with the complexity of the canopy and the pva glue that was applied.
