"The Darling Buds of May" 1/35 GMC cargo truck

Being an aircraft modeller, I stepped outside my comfort zone building this model. Using the HobbyBoss kit, I had to do some conversion work, mainly with the rear wheel suspension and shortening the frame.

 

 

 

 

 

 

As I was about to finish the model, news came along about a new kit from ICM, which would have saved me from some conversion work.

I've just built the same model in standard olive drab, but this one is much more original.

Very nice build Nils. It is good to now and then step outside the comfort zone, and that's a fine result you have there! It's great to see a GMC truck in such a different colour to OD!

A really nice build there, I do like the look of the ICM kit, this model Chev/GM 4x4 always attracted me, especially if Mariette & Primrose were hanging off it.
