425/17 instruments

Hello everybody, 

 

I am building the 1/32 Meng Fokker Dr I as option A MvR's 425/17. I have looked at reference photos but there are still two aspects of the build that I am uncertain about.

 

The instructions on Page 6, step 10, say to include C3 which is a windshield but did 425/17 have one? 

 

The instructions on Page 8, step 14, say to include A2 which is some kind of instrument. Am I correct in assuming that this is not required?
