I think this is the cause. Tamiya paints and varnishes are poorly suited to the brush. First of all, they are too thick and are based on quite aggressive solvent and every brush stroke affects the previous layer. Of course, you can paint some small details, but the whole surfaces will not come out well. The best for brush painting are so-called water-based paints and varnishes.

Hi guys,remember this?
Had a look up at the shelf of doom today seen this and thought I will see if I can recover it🤔 so out with the paint and brushes this time instead of the badger.
