1/72 Zvezda Lockheed C-130E IDF

Recommended Posts

Hello

Here is my Zvezda Lockheed C-130E #314 of the Israeli Defence Force in 2012.

The kit is quite easy to build and I picked some decals from my huge stock.

Beautiful and clear build! And I love this IDF livery! :speak_cool:

Thank you Valerii. That is the reason why I was very busy this month. The IDF camouflage was not in the box but it looks finer to my eyes even if I was considering the South Korean one in the original decal sheet.

Just three pics? C'mon, give us more!

Thank you Alexey. I cannot show other pictures as this one is commissioned for Tamiya Model Magazine French Edition.

Very well done. I'm happy to hear it's an easy build.

Thank you

Yes it is an easy but time consuming due to its large size. For example I needed more than eight hours painting freehand the camouflage.

What you cannot see are all the Eduard pieces inside the fuselage.

I spent about 150 hours building this kit.

That's excellent,  just in time for the 45th anniversary of the Israeli C-130 force's finest hour at Entebbe.

Thank you Stephen

I did not remember that raid was at the time of the year in 1976. In fact it was 5 months after the Loyada pupil hostages in Dlibouti with about the same result for the terrorists.

Lovely, I want to build something with the 3 tones camouflage too!

 Thank you Marcello Rosa.

So far I have built a SMB2 and a Phantom in the colours.
