madcat911
I will be entering a Republic of Singapore Air Force F-16A for this group build. I'll be using the Hasegawa F-16A kit as a base and adding decals from Siam Scale as well as a metal pitot probe and AoA sensors by Hobby Decal. Some background on this Viper: Back in the mid-1980s, the RSAF purchased a total of 8 F-16s (4 As and 4 Bs) under the Peace Carvin FMS programme. These jets were initially based at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona for pilot training and were subsequently transferred back to Singapore in January 1990. Once the RSAF received their F-16Cs and Ds in the early 2000s, these older jets were donated to the Royal Thai Air Force. Tim Moff
looks great - do you paint the missiles after? More skill than me! Edited August 7, 2021 by Tim Moff
trickyrich
nice smooth finish with the primer, nicely done. I'd be more worried I'd knock off those missiles!
madcat911
Standard Hill Grey camo has been applied. I used Mr Color lacquers. Next up is the masking and spraying of the various bits and bobs on the fuselage like the air-refueling door and JFS starter panel. About those missiles, they are simply pinned on and can be removed for painting. Mark
madcat911
Got the detail painting done today. Also painted up the wheels. With the paint job done and dusted, decal application has commenced. I am using decals from Siam Scale as well as some from the kit.
