I've made a start, a snip of a build, in fact it went together in a flash

Oob seat belt decals look surprisingly good,  the only canopy option in the kit is a closed one piece affair, so l didn't  think aftermarket would bring anything to this party

Got the wing on , superb fit

Also ive drilled out the exausts

And finally primed , and the canopy masked, pink primer next for the yellow tail and nose

Great looking detail for 1/72 !!

Its a smashing kit, i usually build 48th scale, but recently newer 72nd scale kits have really upped their game, plus you can cram more in the stash 🤭

That’s a quick start Glynn! Nice work.

I know what you mean about the improvements in 1/72 kits. The Arma Hurricanes being a good example.

That went together very nicely Glynn, and very quickly too.

It really does look like a very well detailed and moulded kit, especially in 1/72 scale.

Nice choice of markings mate, and I see that the pink primer has worked it's magic again.

Pink is the word ,🤭Yes craig the new mold az ones are super little kits, you can get a pe set and masks too for some versions, they always go together quickly when your enjoying them, cheers pal

So I've  done the undersides and lower fuselage, and partly because it's  in 72nd, so pre shading would maybe be a bit ott , and ,I've  been looking at 72nd builds in general on the net, I've decided on  a bit of variation on the full panel , a first for me ,in real life light, its not as noticable as the pictures,i quite like it and I'm  looking forward to giving it a wash and a light weather .

Cheers all

Hi,

This is the guy who shot my fathers Blenheim down in 1941,his 22nd victim.

Your tailplane shows what looks like 26 kills, one in red.

Did you get this with the decals or did you research it and paint them on?

I am interested to find out which mark of Bf109 he was in when he claimed dads plane.
