trickyrich
Gee you have been very busy shopping!!!! Are those wee extras that just jump into the basket when you're not looking!! So did you find anything you thought you were missing during the clean up? I generally do, mostly those wee things that fly off when you're trying to fit them. I bet there were/are some looking at that stash lusting over some of those models....I even see a "Mythical Draken" in the stash....... I wonder if that's were mine went!!!
Marlin
Thanks Rich. Sorry not this time, I was hoping for a piece of the landing gear from one of my Tornados, but no such luck this time. And I don't even "Mythical Drakens" have the range for a trip from Sidney to Stockholm/Upplands Väsby. /Bosse
Marlin
Hi. One of our traditions here in Sweden, and also in Finland, is to have a crayfish party at the end of summer. So we had one this Saturday. 140 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Otherwise I havn't been doing so much at the worktable on my Netzs' I've glued the intake on Netz II together with the nose gear bay. 141 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 142 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr I think I'd the same small gap when I built my Kinetic Sufa some years ago. The gap was filled with a small plasticard strip and then drenched in Tamiya Extra Thin. 143 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr To be continued..... /Bosse
trickyrich
EEEkkkk... that was a nasty wee gap!! Right less seafood and more work from you..... you have duties next week!!!
Marlin
Thanks @trickyrich. This gap is an easy one, just a sliver of plasticard and it's done. Well since school has started for the year here in Sweden again after the summer break I guess I'll start building more. And the white nights of summer are all gone, and the sun sets earlier and earlier for each passing evening. Autumn usual brings more time for modelling. As for my upcoming duties next week I've not forgotten. Just visit Ragnars Lounge & Grill when the time comes, and I'll think you'll find the meat tasty and the mead soothing. /Bosse
Marlin
Hi again, The clear coat on my Netz had fully cured yesterday, so if I'm going to finish at least one F-16 before the deadline I started to put on the decals yesterday on it. 144 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr The first decal, the mighty Dragon. 145 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And then I thought a bit on which number I wanted to to, and I found a picture online of #234 carrying three kill marks. 146 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr My guess is that all three comes from the air battle over Bekaa Valley in 1982 when the Israelis shot the Syrians from the sky. And I've done some stencils and the walklines on the topside. 147 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr The plan is to flip it over and do the underside this evening. To be continued..... /Bosse

Marlin
Hi gang. And thanks @trickyrich, of course you need a Netz in your collection. I did get some stencils placed last evening. 149 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 150 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr But I reckon I'll be needing one of two more evenings before I'm done with them on this Netz. To be continued..... /Bosse
Marlin
Hi gang. Yesterday I put the last stencils on my Netz, and with that I'm done with the decals. 151 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 152 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 153 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 154 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 155 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr To night I'm checking all decals for eventual silvering, and then I'll seal them with a layer of clear varnish. And with that said I think I can start the final assembly on this one during the weekend, and I'll think I'll have this one done before the Sunday 19 September deadline. Unfortunately I'll not be able to finish my Netz II in time, but finish it I will. To be continued..... /Bosse

Marlin
Hi gang. Last week of the GB. I've matt coated the Netz and it's now in the final assembly stage. I've sanded off the seam on the canopy, and polished it back to clarity. Polished 157 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Not polished. 158 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr I'm a bit stretched fopr time, but I think I'll manage to get the Netz in over the finish line. Netz II isn't even glued together, so that'll be finished outside the GB. To be continued..... /Bosse
Marlin
Sorry Guys. I'll not manage to finish my Netz's in time. But rest assured they'll be finishen in the normal WIP sektion during the autumn. /Bosse

helios16v
My 16s had better be done, but I'll be there with a surveillance aircraft most likely...a left over from the Vietnam GB.

helios16v
You're going to make me venture out of the safe haven of the GB forums? For shame! I'll try to venture over there periodically and have a look. I can't make any promises though as I tend to forget there are other parts of BM.
trickyrich
you're leaving home!!!!! It's such a big scary world outside of the safe haven of Group builds..... are you sure you're going to be ok??
