Gee you have been very busy shopping!!!! Are those wee extras that just jump into the basket when you're not looking!! :D

So did you find anything you thought you were missing during the clean up? I generally do, mostly those wee things that fly off when you're trying to fit them.

I bet there were/are some looking at that stash lusting over some of those models....I even see a "Mythical Draken" in the stash....... I wonder if that's were mine went!!!  :bleh:

Thanks Rich. :D

Sorry not this time, I was hoping for a piece of the landing gear from one of my Tornados, but no such luck this time.

And I don't even "Mythical Drakens" have the range for a trip from Sidney to Stockholm/Upplands Väsby. :hmmm:

Hi. :D

One of our traditions here in Sweden, and also in Finland, is to have a crayfish party at the end of summer.
So we had one this Saturday.

Otherwise I havn't been doing so much at the worktable on my Netzs'
I've glued the intake on Netz II together with the nose gear bay.

I think I'd the same small gap when I built my Kinetic Sufa some years ago.
The gap was filled with a small plasticard strip and then drenched in Tamiya Extra Thin.

Thanks @trickyrich. :D

This gap is an easy one, just a sliver of plasticard and it's done.

Well since school has started for the year here in Sweden again after the summer break I guess I'll start building more.

And the white nights of summer are all gone, and the sun sets earlier and earlier for each passing evening.

Autumn usual brings more time for modelling. :D

As for my upcoming duties next week I've not forgotten.

Just visit Ragnars Lounge & Grill when the time comes, and I'll think you'll find the meat tasty and the mead soothing.  :tasty:

Hi again, :D

The clear coat on my Netz had fully cured yesterday, so if I'm going to finish at least one F-16 before the deadline I started to put on the decals yesterday on it.

The first decal, the mighty Dragon.

And then I thought a bit on which number I wanted to to, and I found a picture online of #234 carrying three kill marks.

My guess is that all three comes from the air battle over Bekaa Valley in 1982 when the Israelis shot the Syrians from the sky.

And I've done some stencils and the walklines on the topside.

The plan is to flip it over and do the underside this evening.

And thanks @trickyrich, of course you need a Netz in your collection.

I did get some stencils placed last evening.

But I reckon I'll be needing one of two more evenings before I'm done with them on this Netz.

To night I'm checking all decals for eventual silvering, and then I'll seal them with a layer of clear varnish.
And with that said I think I can start the final assembly on this one during the weekend, and I'll think I'll have this one done before the Sunday 19 September deadline.

Unfortunately I'll not be able to finish my Netz II in time, but finish it I will.  :D

Hi gang. :D

Last week of the GB. :(

I've matt coated the Netz and it's now in the final assembly stage.
I've sanded off the seam on the canopy, and polished it back to clarity.

Polished

Not polished.

I'm a bit stretched fopr time, but I think I'll manage to get the Netz in over the finish line.
Netz II isn't even glued together, so that'll be finished outside the GB.

  • 2 weeks later...

You're going to make me venture out of the safe haven of the GB forums?  For shame!  :rofl2:

I'll try to venture over there periodically and have a look.  I can't make any promises though as I tend to forget there are other parts of BM.

It's such a big scary world outside of the safe haven of Group builds..... are you sure you're going to be ok??

There's some dodgy looking people out there......... actually there are some pretty dodgy looking members around here!! :D
