Games Workshop - Eltharion

So I hit something of a rut with my usual building of aircraft., so ended up with some GW figures - I'd always wanted to build my own army when I was a kid.  I really liked the look of the Lumineth - here's my first completed hero - Eltharion

Good stuff, I really like the idea of this mini as a haunted suit of armour and it's great that your photo captures the air gap at the thigh. Tidy work on the gems and things too.

How was the model to paint - did you use any sub-assemblies? I've not built mine because I can't quite figure out how/what I want to do with him yet.

Thanks Will - no sub-assemblies were used - I don't think the parts lend themselves to any.  Overall a pretty straightforward build - just the usual trying to interpret the instructions.

What paint did you use for the invisible body?

 

It looks very good to me, the bits I can see that is. Nice work.

No painting involved - that's how the kit is designed - the idea being it's a hollow suit of armour.  The right leg is only connected to the rock it's standing on - there is no physical connection to the rest of the body.
