hoppie
I thought it was called Kurfürst, but maybe that is just some post-war thing? Kind of like the confusion about the name of the FW 190 which is sometime called "Schlachter Vogel" in german, from the english "butcher bird" in the assumption that it was called that because it was a war machine. But "butcher bird" is just another name for "shrike", and the german name for shrike is "Würger" which was the actual name.

Vogel is bird. You mean Schlächter = slaughterer.
Roman Schilhart
Not a new kit, actually. AZ Model's Bf-109K has already been released in 2018: https://www.scalemates.com/de/kits/az-model-az7595-messerschmitt-bf-109k-4-kurfuerst--1147149 It's a new decal variant based on these spures. And a very welcome one, as it includes very attractive Italian markings as well!

Yes, that is the point, it is a direct translation of butcher bird based on wrong assumptions. Either Schlachter Vogel or Schlächter Vogel, both would be valid but wrong in the context.
