RAN TA-4G in 1/72

After promising to be part of the group build I'm pretty late to the party having been distracted by other builds and the vagaries of life. Here is the first step with my TA-4G Skyhawk in Royal Australian Navy livery. The RAN operated 4 TA-4G's, the first two delivered in 1967 and the remaining two in 1971. The kit is the Fujimi TA-4J in 1/72 scale and looking at the sprues below you certainly get a lot of plastic to work with. I've supplemented the kit with some lovely resin seats from Quickboost and a set of Novascale decals. I also have another set of decals with all RAN Skyhawk codes so I'll be free to model any of the 4 airframes.

 

I'll be taking the kit away on a weeks' holiday so will hopefully make at least some progress before the group build finishes. The first step was to prime the various internal parts and surfaces ready for painting and assembly.

Nice to see another Aussie aircraft and a two seater too.
