Help with 2cm KwK 30 L/55

I’m building a Sdkfz 222 from a 3D print in 1/16 scale.

 

Problem: The gun that the model currently has is somewhat out of scale. It’s too long and possibly to thick also. See pics.

 

I can’t find a 1/16 scale of a 2cm kwk 30 to buy in the aftermarket but I really want to change it.

 

My questions -

 

is there a 1:35 gun that might ‘look’ better than what I currently have?

 

Or

 

would you just cut off the existing gun and make a new from scratch? If so, where would you cut from on existing gun?

 

What would you do? Any help would be greatly appreciated as otherwise this 3D print is working well for me.

 

At the moment, my plan is to use a 1/35 panther’s gun that I have in my spares box.

Though not quite correct, there is a bit lengthier barrel 2cm L/65 from ABER, but at least it's in scale:

The MG34 also looks on the beefy side, which also can be found as a brass replacement from ABER, with a choice of either perforated barrel or armoured sleeve.

Sorted! Bought an Aber barrel but as @JackGnoted, the mg34 needed replacing too.

 

I will post an update when both of these new parts are changed.
