KrisW77
I'm soon going to be building an Asuka Sherman Firefly. What colour green where they painted? Thanks.
jeff72
SCC15 British olive drab. Then it depends what under coat colour you use, plus varnish weathering and washes will alter the colour.
Bullbasket
As Jeff says, SCC15 British Olive Drab, which is different to US Olive Drab. An important question is, what paints are you using? If it's Tamiya, there are some mixes by Mike Starmer. Just don't get too hooked up in getting it spot on. It will vary considerably depending on many factors. Steben
SCC15 Olive Drab, indeed. The Firefly is the icon of SCC15, since it just came out of the factory when SCC15 was the new directive. It is rather grey/drabby green than a classic olive drab and in the same colour family as RAF dark green. Examples: Here you can see bright SCC15 and ww2 US olive drab (the browner one) on a a bed of mint leaves And some restorations (all the same colour shade): If you want to see some impressions of SCC15, Overloon museum has great finished British vehicles. MIX Mike's mixes (vallejo, tamiya) are all very consistent. The vallejo one is great: 1 x 70.888 +1 x 70.924. Although perhaps a bit light compared to Mike's book swatches, great for models. RAL6014 + RAL6031 is a simple RAL mix. Yet there is no great RAL6014 in model paints. Edited June 14, 2021 by Steben

I'm not to worried about getting 100% spot on but near as will be good enough for me. Thanks everyone for your responses. Really helpful.👍

Really helpful.👍 The pictures I posted give an array of tones and light situations. You'll soon find out whether your mix is close or not. 5 x XF81 1 x XF58 1 x XF71 Although XF81 only is already great on small models if filters and dust are coming anyway (it is actually slightly light for the inteded use as RAF Dark Green). Looks like I'll be buying some more paint 👍
sapperastro
If you get lazy, I have used JSDF Olive Drab from the Tamiya range, and after dusty weathering it looks ok. Humbrol 253 is another one of my "close enough" picks for SCC15. Edited June 27, 2021 by sapperastro extras
