AdamT87
I'm looking to pick up a Trumpeter Mig-23MLD: I Know the Trumpeter Mig-23 kits have issues but with the different variants I was confused which ones were definitely applicable to this kit? And what aftermarket was available to correct said issue? I am prepared to let things slide on artistic merit or if it's going to take more time than it's worth to correct. In saying that having a good idea of what is and isn't structurally correct is extremely helpful.
exdraken
There is a resin nose for the MLD if you want, a resin seat... The intakes are too boxed for all variants, the nozzle can also be replaced. Probably wheels. And I would replace the weapons.

The resin nose is that the MetallicDesigns one? I wasn't sure if that was aimed at earlier Mig-23's? I was wondering if the Eduard Mig-23MF/ML Ejection Seat and the Eduard Mig-23/ML Nozzle would be fine for the MLD variant? Lastly what is the problem with the weapons that are supplied in the kit? exdraken
I just found this text /thread here on BM Nose: not sure about the Metallic Detail one now, I think ColdWarStudio also plans one. Nozzles: can't say from memory, but Eduard, Aires, have spectacular ones, as do Metallic Detail and AM? You can choose between open and closed ones. Weapons: Trumpeter ones look okish... For an MLD you'd probably even want R-24s... only available from Plusmodel I think. The R-60 look a bit short and stubby. Of course the can also be armed as fighter bombers like in Syria or Afghanistan. Seat should be roughly the same for all versions.
exdraken
Maybe these exhausts are the most suitable; https://the48ers.com/r-35-turbojet-engine-exhaust-nozzle-of-the-mig-23ml-mla-mld-mig-23p-18898.html
