Dak Driver
Hello all, I'm an NG here. I'm planning to build the above named kit. If anyone here has built one, I'd appreciate it if you'd share your experience.

wschurr
What that the! As I was saying, I built both fighter and recce of the KH. I think they make honest replicas but certainly not ultra-stellar. Shoot, you can make a nice rendition with the Monogram kit. Check your references for external details before you embark. Especially vents etc. The Canucks had some pretty one oh ones to be sure. This makes me want to build one !
Scott Hemsley
Like wschurr said, check your references, especially the fuselage vents on the wing roots . I know Canada's Voodoos came from US stocks, but for whatever reason, those vents were visibly different from U.SA.F. Voodoos and to how Monogram (1/48) and Revell (1/72) tooled them. Did KH follow their lead? I dunno. Scott
Dak Driver
Thank you gentlemen. The kit has turned out to be pretty good, with only one serious fit challenge. It was overcome by sanding, filling, and rescribing. I'm using Canadian made decals that actually include the upper fuselage vents if you choose to use them.

Blimpyboy
To add to 0viking0's post, this article from IPMS Canada's RT magazine contains interesting detail shots and comments about CF-101Bs: https://aviationarchives.blogspot.com/2015/10/cf-101-voodoo-ipms-canada-article.html Edited August 28, 2021 by Blimpyboy
