supersonic
Hello Mates, i will add some resin exhausts to my next F-4J build and wonder if someone had the opportunity to compare Eduard/ResKit and/or Aires exhausts and can give infos which one is the best in terms of refinement & details, I know that all 3 are pretty good but would like to know if there are one of them which piques the others? Thanks & Cheers Hans
Keith T
I think Res-kit are the best for fit and best details.
dnl42
For which F-4J and what scale? There's the Wolfpack Designs (WP48193) F-4J Phantom II J79 Engine Nozzle Set for the Academy 1/48 kit.
supersonic
@Keith T Confirmed, did a bit research and talked to someone who had all 3 in hand and his conclusion is Reskit is the finest.... @dnl42 It's for the Zoukei Mura 1:
spruecutter96
Have a look at QMT, too. I THINK they do some resin exhausts.... Chris.
SouthViper
I RECOMMEND the Aires jet exhausts, they are very thin and almost translucid . Today new techs are more efficient like Katran. Well, it depends on your objective with your model. Sometimes the own kit exhaust , like the F-4s from Academy, is fine . Yours MARIO
exdraken
if you want to spend serious money, you could also try those from MK.1 Design! e.g. here: open or closed https://www.1001hobbies.de/umbausaetze-und-detail-sets/335277-mk-1-design-ma-48053-mk-1-design-48053.html https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/MA-48054
spruecutter96
I've read that the Aires 1/32nd cans look significantly under-sized (when fitted to a Revell Rhino, IIRC). Do the Aires 1/48th version have any issues? Chris.
