Faraway
This is a pretty boat, although being in the Russian Navy, it was built in Italy and to be honest the styling does look very Italian, sleek and streamlined. She was quite a fast ship, maintaining 39 Knots and managing a top speed of around 44 Knots. I have tried paint it in the colour that it was delivered to the Russian Navy, which is where it gets its nickname 'The Blue Beauty or Cruiser' (Cruiser because of its size being more that of a cruiser than a destroyer). It was a nice kit to build and up to Trumpeters usual standard, there was some PE in the shape of railings around the bridge, but not (which was a shame) the main deck railings. These I added from my stock. I had a disaster with the aft mast, I broke it after I'd added the rigging, which made the repair a bit of a headache. I've still to add deck railings to the Starboard side and perhaps some rust effects. Anyway, here are a few pictures, I hope you like them. Hi Jon I have built some 1/700 scale but they are a bit small for me that is why I try and build nothing less than 1/350 scale if I can help it. beefy

So I think I’ll try and sell it. Jon
Chewbacca
Not a ship I know very much about (until I first saw your WIP I'm not sure to be honest I'd even heard of her) but you've done a cracking job there

Adm Lord De Univers
She's gorgeous Jon, lovely build too! I'd leave the rust off this one, given that it's just been delivered and that blue is too nice to 'spoil'. David

I have left the rust off (for now). Jon
stevehnz
A lovely looking build of a very handsome & previously, to me, unknown vessel. I can't help wondering if her lines influenced the design of the Sverdlov class cruisers? She has good looks to spare & your build brings that out a treat.
