cropredy
@AWFK10 - Funny how when you look back at the photos you can see the lorries are clearly turning. Sadly, my diorama composition doesn't show this. But; rather than a three way sign like I built, I'll just do a single horizontal sign that says "South Park" and try and replicate the knurl at the top of the sign (which also seems to be white letters on black on perhaps a gray or wood post). I also opted to not replicate each tree and bush --- just a general sense of a dirt road with fence.

cropredy
Some progress Wagon with driver and produce -- it was a blast to paint vegetables and potatoes. Source was Black Dog Lorry container box with mask removed and letters revealed And yes, I know I need the ropes that strap down the container to the lorry. I tried that last night but messed up - negative modeling!
cropredy
Closing in on the finish .... South Park sign (figures temporarily posed around it) @AWFK10 Prototype view - missing horses. AWFK10
That's an excellent and evocative piece of modelling. A real work of art recording a moment from history.
Paul Thompson
Apart from you putting in a lot more effort than the original builder in the Airfix article, I've just realised the main difference between your diorama and his. You've done yours in colour! Well done, that man. Paul.
pheonix
I wholeheartedly agree with all of the above: this is a super dio and I just wish that I had half of your skill in making it. The finished model would look well in Lincoln museum. P
cropredy
I'm done -- horses, reins, and bridle were the last bit. Super-tricky. I really appreciate all the kind words, tips, and encouragement from you guys

pheonix
Just spent a few minutes looking closely at the pictures. So much excellent detail: you have really captured the scene in the photograph. P
