Working on the lower...

Lee, on aircraft it's called the underside,   Perhaps you should have put a white undercoat where you painted yellow, I always do and Ray had great success with the yellow areas on his 109E build with a yellow nose and side flash.  Just sayin.

Hi Bob !!

I went with a mix of white and desert yellow for the undercoat.
The only yellow I had was was a really opaque Vallejo. A bright, light yellow.
I had to add a touch of red to darken it up, and multiple light coats.
I think just getting the yellow down took about 2 hours...

You know how impatient I am :D

The hairdryer came in handy.

Very nice and neat job on the painting, masking Luftwaffe paint jobs can be a pain at times but when it works out as well as yours has it has been worth the effort.

Thanks Minion !!

I have a few small touch ups to work on, but nothing major.
Then gloss varnish tomorrow.

I guess I’m trying to adapt armor Weathering to aircraft...

It's working well for you :speak_cool:

I haven't even started the weathering yet :D

I need to clear coat, and then the markings, and then more clear.... I'm just at the thinking stage, for weathering, right now :D

One reason I never touch aircraft, are the clear core and decals faze.

Im not sure if this will work, as the clear looks awful grainy, to me...

Still... Once fully dry, tomorrow, I’ll try a few decals and see how they sit.
I’ll me using Decal Set & Sol.

Thanks for that tip... What would you suggest as a polish ?

Ideally I'd suggest fine grade Micromesh but perhaps a little toothpaste on a soft cloth as an ersatz alternative.

Nice paint job there Longbow.

A multi grit polishing stick would be a solution to smooth down the gloss coat as suggested by Col.

Wonderful and fast! Like everyone has said those harnesses are superb but they are only one part of a great build. I am glad I did not blink. I would of missed it.
