Wow! And I thought my plan to build two in this group build was ambitious. Good luck with this! I am looking forward to following!

I assume these will be Sgt. Länsivaara´s G-6/R6 MT-453 and Sgt. Ahokas'n (haha, Ahokkaan in Finnish) MT-437? Excellent choices, both are low tail, early cabin aircraft and I´ve built them both 🙂 V-P

No it is MT-425 and 437, from the Inscale 027 decal sheet, by the way 425 has a ETC for 4x50 but have no reference to that, do you have any ??

I have the same sheet - or what´s left of it! The Mersu "bible" - http://www.koalakustannus.fi/kirjat/kirja.php?id_prd=233, 400 pages, 541 pics, check the pdf sample too - says:

As a preparation for a possible Soviet Baltic Fleet surface vessel breakthrough attempt from the sieged Kronstadt naval base, the fighter squadron 34 began training for JaBo-style bombing with its new G-6 Messerschmitts. Six of them, MT:s -406, -415, -423, -424, -425 and -426, had the 4*50kg ETC racks attached and then used in bombing a roughly destroyer vessel sized rocky islet outside Kotka harbour. That began May 29 and lasted for about a week, and 18 pilots bombed the "enemy islet" on 21 sorties.

Once the Soviet 4th Strategic Offensive began June 9, the operation was discontinued, although it was reinstated post-war. There is no evidence of our Messerschmitts ever used as bombers against a real enemy.

EDIT: All dates in 1944, of course!
