Yes the partly peeled roundel caught my "what the heck is that"? attention

Might do a bit of research!

Great job as always Russ

Very handsome Corsair Russ. I never considered the FAA version but it's unusual and differs nicely from the blue ones. Well done!

Yowzah! Without a doubt, the best FAA Corsair build I have seen in a long time! Colors, weathering, and markings are spot-on, too. As for the fuselage vents fitted to FAA Corsairs- it looks like you nailed the intake scoops fitted, but I think you might have missed the one on the belly used to exhaust the fumes. IIRC, it was just fwd or aft of the 1st  vertical fuselage panel line aft of the intake scoops- will try to find  photos to link. @Corsairfoxfouruncle and @corsaircorp are going to love your model! Not in any way meant to be critical of the outstanding model you have built, but just a suggestion to make it even better. See the two links below to see the ventral exhaust vent.

Lovely work as usual Russ, and an interesting scheme. I wonder why is has half a roundel. I've got the same kit ion the stash, meaning to do the same conversion, it's only been waiting 15 years or so for me to get around to it!

Cheers
