15cm Sturm-Infanteriegeschütz 33 auf Pz III "Getreidesilo Stalingrad"

Recommended Posts

Hello all  🥳

Today I would like to show you my project from the Panzer III GB.

I built a SIG 33B assault infantry gun, which was used in Stalingrad.
The vignette shows a railway line in the industrial quarter near the famous grain silo during the first snowfall.

The model by Dragon is old, but with a few refreshments very usable.
The water pump comes from Plusmodel, again with minor changes 😉
As a finishing touch I added a figure from Panzerart with a Hornet head and BvB scarf 😎, which should give more life to the scene.
I have to admit that the whole construction process tested my patience at times, but all in all it was a lot of fun 😅
Thanks again to hosts Stix and Ozzy for an exciting GB and anyone who has written or visited my build.  👍 🙂

If you are interested you can find the whole build here: www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235088377-15cm-sturm-infanteriegesch%C3%BCtz-33-auf-pz-iii/

Have fun!
MD

Absolutely stunning modelling - everything about it is equally well done, and so many details to look at - really fantastic work! I really like the look of contemplation (or sadness?) on the figure's face too.

Top job!! 👍

Really like it. That vehicle is new to me and I thought I knew my German AFVs.

The photos are great. The crewman looks like any soldier in any military ever. Fed up.

I've been that soldier. 😅

He's not a Watford FC fan then? 😀

A brilliant build and stunning vignette. Really well done MD.👏

Hey Stef

First of all, thanks for your comment - I really appreciate it!

You weren't that wrong with the colours of the scarf, but the guy is a fan of BvB 09-the best club in Germany 😎

Watford has hornets and my club has a bee as mascot, so not so different.

I still have the Austin Armoured Car 1918 from Miniart on the shelf for a new WW1 project and Watford was founded in 1881, so let me surprise you 😁

Hello Keith

THX a lot!

I think when he saw the big hole in the helmet in front of him, it was clear that the trip to this city would not end well 😞

Yes, I think he can imagine a nicer place than here 😁

That's an excellent model. The paint job is first class, as is the figure and the snow looks real. Nice work.

John.

Thank you John, very kind of you!

I used fine glass dust from a sandblaster that I have in my workshop.

Very cheap and realistic in my opinion.

superb work and great attention to detail. I love the rusty enamel bucket and the yellow pump wheel.

Good eye for small deatils.
Many thanks for that!
