George_
Hello everyone, one of my latest builds, Boyington's Corsair. I thought the Revell kit is pretty good but fit is not great, it has some features of a D model (two racks for drop tanks) and some panel lines were too shallow and had to be rescribed. Also propeller was very wierd so I trimmed it to a better shape (still not perfect though) Lowered the flaps, was not very hard but I should have cleaned it up more I think🤔 Added PE set and vacu canopy, airbrushed with AK Real colors Chipping with hairspray, weathering with oil paints Let me know what you think, critique is welcomed Thanks, George
jean
Hi George, I like your Corsair very much. I haven't seen many Revell Corsair built to date, and the compliments about the kit have been subdued, at best. Glad you thought the kit was decent. Whatever its shortcomings you have achieved a super model. Congrats. JR
noelh
You did a great Job on what is a tricky kit despite its fairly recent arrival. I like the weathering. In my opinion you've got it just right. Excellent.

Jackson Duvalier
I can't say I've ever seen a better result from this kit. You've a deft touch with the paints; the differential fading and chipping (extensive, but not overdone) absolutely look the part.

Thank you, I was afraid that I went bit too far with the chipping, glad I was wrong 😁
kapam
Looks excellent! I know the Revell kit in 1/72 gets some criticism, but nothing of it shows on this build. I love it. The weathering and wear is superb.
BerndM
Superb result on a not so brilliant kit. The paint job with the covincing weathering effect is outstanding.
2lefthands
Can`t say anything about the kit, but your weathering is top notch in my opinion. The faded parts on the wings for example. Excellent.
SteveMc
A very nicely finished Corsair. Looks great.
